Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General

RGB designed comprehensive renovations to the Rhode Island Attorney General offices located on Main Street in Providence. The building design incorporate modern technologies and security. Because the building remained occupied during construction, the client required that the building be operational and accessible during construction. To meet this requirement, the project was completed in four phases, with employees relocated to a different building floor during each phase. The level at building entry was completed as one half of the building at a time.

Secure executive suites located on the third floor included reception, executive office, kitchenette, conference room, and private bath. The main level supports public access within in a controlled environment, an executive board room, and adjacent training room. The lower level houses high density file storage, a mock courtroom, a café, and off-duty spaces. Existing chandeliers and wall sconces were restored and reused within the executive board room. The overall project encompassed complete renovation of 43,000 square feet.
