Providence Public Library Main Branch Renovation

The Providence Public Library’s Main Branch, originally constructed in 1919, is a stunning example of eclectic Italianate Revival design. Main Branch renovations included comprehensive redesign of the book stacks, seating, children’s room, and service areas. A new central stair was inserted into the grand hall. RGB also updated all safety codes and met ADA guidelines. Technology upgrades and building systems improvements were also integrated.
