Little Compton Public Safety Building

This $2 million facility consolidates fire, emergency response, and police services under one roof. This 14,000 SF modern building replaces two existing facilities that had become outdated and inadequate. The building program accommodates the specific needs of each group, while fostering a sense of camaraderie among the personnel.
Some shared amenities include camera surveillance throughout, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a kitchen area, accommodations to sleep 4 and secure storage space.
Police services has a state-of-the-art dispatch room, one-car secure entry, evidence and processing rooms, a booking area with an interview room, two holding cells, private and open offices, and a muster room for daily meetings.
Knowing that the new building would be set in the historically-sensitive rural environment of Little Compton, RGB took great care to be sure that its design complemented the surrounding architecture.
