Chariho Alternative Learning Academy
Chariho, Rhode Island
RGB designed a 13,000 square foot addition at the Chariho Middle school to house a stand-alone Alternative Learning School program (formerly known as Reaching Youth Through Support and Education School or R.Y.S.E.). The school serves approximately 55 students drawn from the Middle and High School by offering individualized education opportunities including interactive technology. The $5.2 million project was completed July 2018. The new facility replaces several leased temporary trailers that had not only begun to age, but also did not optimally meet the unique needs of the school and its students.
