Senior Living Overview
RGB delivers services that provide value to our clients, their patients, seniors and the community. RGB personnel pursue the newest accepted healthcare planning methods and are effective in strategic planning using this knowledge of current healthcare design standards and codes. Our team designs facilities that allow for ease of maintenance and demonstrate aesthetic thought in design. Our efforts center around creating environments that will enable our client to provide accessible, high quality, seamless, and integrated care delivery for the improvement of health and the health care environment. Scalabrini Villa
Situated on a scenic overlook with expansive views of Narragansett Bay, Scalabrini Villa is an expansive health care center providing long- and short-term care, rehabilitation, respite care, Alzheimer, and hospice services. RGB created a master plan and certificate of need study which led to the design and construction of a new facility. The new facility incorporates the latest engineering and equipment technology and patient care design doctrine inside a traditional building that responds to the vernacular of coastal architecture. The project also included the restoration of a second empire revival mansion. Balmoral Assisted Living
RGB's design featured a grand, ballroom like community dining room that takes advantage of the Florida climate and landscape. This centerpiece of the 100 unit assisted living and Alzheimer’s retirement community adds to it's inviting character.
Bridgham ManorA historic structure in need of repair, Bridgham Manor, located in Providence's Broadway Armory Historic District, posed a unique challenge. Begun in October of 2007 and completed in August of 2008, the $1.5 million restoration included repair to the existing masonry, cast stone architectural details, EIFS wall system, and flashing. All of the repair and replacement was done per Rhode Island Historic Preservation and Heritage Commission guidelines and through their approval process. Emerald Bay ManorRGB provided design services for this continuing care community located in the quiet country village of Chapel Four Corners in Cumberland, RI. The architecture and character of Emerald Bay echo the rich, rural character of this picture postcard community in the historic Blackstone Valley. Hanora Lippitt Mill
RGB designed this conversion of the Lippitt Woolen Company’s historic mill complex to accomodate an elderly housing facility. Originally built in 1865, the complex is a fine example of nineteenth century mill architecture. The completed conversion has 117 units. Harris HouseRGB provided architectural, structural engineering, and interior design services for the design of this adaptive reuse project. Classic Residences by Hyatt at Lakeside VillageSet on the shores of Lake Osborne in Florida, local breezy palm trees and lush vegetation surround the Lakeside Village, a comprehensive care facility that provides its residents with a full spectrum of services. Pines of MandarinThe design of this 225,000 square foot acute care and wellness facility in Tampa, Florida incorporated a variety of layouts on four stories amongst 150 living units. South Bay ManorRGB was commissioned by the the Horizon Group to design this assisted living and nursing care facility in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. This senior care facility was one of the first of the type completed in Rhode Island. St. Thomas Virgin Islands Nursing HomeRGB designed the first nursing home on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S Virgin Islands. This was done under the auspices of a federal program. Villages on Mount Hope Bay
Barrington CoveFor this adaptive re-use project, RGB converted a historic mill complex into an assisted living facility. The project called for selective demolition, and the layout and components of the original buildings called for five separate floor plans for the residential areas. The site itself, located on a flood plain, required care in building technique, as well as code variances to allow for construction. Additionally, the project converted a two-story building into three stories containing 61 units. RGB also converted a boiler house into the main entrance and community center.
