1149 East Restaurant

Following the success of their collaboration on the 1149 Restaurant in Warwick, RI, The Food Group commissioned RGB to design  their new restaurant in Seekonk.

1149 East is a modern design composition of horizontal elements bisected by a dramatic vertical shale stone wall. It incorporates a wealth of traditional materials, such as stacked stone, bronze framed windows and stucco to give it a warm and inviting feel; critical to their mission of casual elegance.

Inside, patrons are greeted by a shimmery glass tile mosaic wall, flanked by back lit floor to ceiling wine cabinets rendered in a rich walnut. A dramatic amber colored chandelier appears to float overhead.

Midnight blue booths, cobalt shaded pendant light fixtures, dark chocolate ceilings and a limestone tile wall set the tone for the dining experience. A quartz stone bar sits beneath a softly glowing light box with panels of seagrass, trimmed in dark walnut.

Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino High Rollers Gaming

RGB has developed a successful and ongoing relationship with the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, providing architectural and interior design services, production and project management as well as three-dimensional graphic illustrations for a variety of important gaming areas, food service venues and offices throughout their flagship resort and casino on the picturesque Thames River among the rolling hills of south-eastern Connecticut.

The projects incorporate the latest technologies in gaming delivery systems, exotic interior finishes and materials, high-end thematically inspired lighting, sculptural bronze objects, steel and wood staircases with glass and stainless steel balusters, elegantly back-lit tribal art glass panels integrated into a gracefully curved servery, undulating red glass walls with back-lit glass floors and the tasteful yet bold integration of color, texture and materials.
